Winery Review: Rooty, spicy, and baked on the nose, with aromas that lean toward raisin. The palate is more gritty and acidic, with raisin, cola, and spice flavors. Darkens up on the finish, which is long and peppery, with adequate juiciness and a final note of tomato.
Personal Review: On the nose, this wine was jammy and smelled of blackberries, blueberries with a sourness similar to a Granny Smith apple. The wine tasted rubbery, acidic, and peppery with dark cherry and blackberry flavors. The wine was full-bodied and chewy. I did not care for this wine and I did not have it with any food.
